Brief
We were challenged to come up with a more efficient and cost-effective way of handling a variety of regular advertising mailshots from print to dispatch. Each mail shot would target up to 3,000 new and existing customers. They would also involve printing covering letters and a variety of promotional leaflets and brochures designed to target niche markets.
Solution
Like many of our projects, we started by visiting their marketing team to brainstorm and get a better understanding of their needs. Then we put together a full proposal and print plan to handle the challenge. We recommended these improvements:
- Changing the format and pre-sortation of their data, which would reduce costs by using more preferential mailing rates from Royal Mail.
- Harnessing the variable data capabilities of our digital press to target mailings more effectively.
Results
- The savings we delivered enabled the team to invest in additional marketing activities.
- By handling every aspect of the process in-house from print and fulfilment to sortation and mailing, we were able to deliver all of their mailshots quickly, professionally and hassle-free.
